Al Ain American School is strongly committed to continuously improve the education experience offered to all students. As an inclusive school, our SOD provisions are at the heart of our operations. Our approach to Students of Determination is in alignment with the school’s aims, its teaching and learning policies, and its focus on equality of opportunity.
Our school makes necessary adjustments to accommodate Students of Determination with reference to his/her needs.
Our Students of Determination never cease to inspire us by showing constant improvement in multiple areas such as socialization, classroom work, fine and gross motor skills, language and communication.
Their academic improvements in subjects such as Math, English and Arabic are imminent as they constantly receive all the help they need from the learning support team as well as their fellow classmates.
Students learn while enjoying different activities during SOD sessions. Gross and fine motor skills, communication, collaboration, and independence are integrated in their activities by using colorful hands-on materials.
The continuous open communication between SOD specialists, homeroom teachers and parents, as well as the consistency of lessons, rules, and goals applied at school and at home help the students benefit at the highest.
