AAS Welcomes the Student Council for 2026–2027
A New Chapter of Student Leadership Begins at Al Ain American School
On 30th September 2026, Al Ain American School proudly celebrated the Student Council Badging Ceremony for the 2026–2027 academic year, marking an important milestone in our students’ leadership journey.
The ceremony brought together school leadership, teachers, staff, and students to formally recognize the newly appointed members of the Student Council (SRC) and welcome them into their roles as student leaders.

The event began with a warm welcome from the hosts, followed by opening remarks from Ms. Ruba Shadid, Principal, who spoke about the meaning of leadership and the responsibility that comes with representing one’s peers. Her message reminded students that true leadership is not simply about holding a position, but about serving others, listening, and setting a positive example.
Mr. Hussam, Vice Principal, addressed the newly appointed Student Council members, encouraging them to embrace their responsibilities and make their voices count.

A special highlight of the ceremony was the presence of our distinguished Guest of Honor, Mr. Saif Abdulla Al Ali, who shared words of wisdom and encouragement with our young leaders.
The newly appointed SRC members were then badged according to their leadership roles, including Prefects, Deputy Heads, and Heads. Each student received their badge as a symbol of the trust placed in them and the responsibilities they have accepted.

The Head Boy and Head Girl then led the Student Council in reciting the SRC pledge together, with the prefects standing in support.
The ceremony was more than a formal recognition—it was the beginning of a leadership journey. Our Student Council members now have an opportunity to listen to their peers, represent their student body, contribute ideas, support their school community, and lead by example.

As they begin their term, we look forward to seeing our young leaders grow in confidence, take initiative, serve with responsibility, and make a meaningful difference at AAS.
Congratulations to the AAS Student Council 2026–2027.
